A procedure for direct recording of the electromyogram in the polygraph laboratory, integration of the raw data, and distant monitoring of the EMG is presented in graphic form. A telephone telemetry system known as telmedography or telemedography, especially useful for obtaining EMG and ECG and EEG data from nonambulatory patients from their homes, is also described. The accompanying figures serve to illustrate the equipment involved in laboratory and telephone telemetry recording, its uses in monitoring bedridden patients with neurospastic disorders, and obiective recording of the data obtained.
