A novel method for manufacturing self‐supporting ceramic films is based on the use of aqueous suspensions containing low concentrations of a biopolymer (carrageenan) and the formation of the film by immersion of a graphite substrate into the ceramic suspension heated at 60 °C. A film is obtained by dipping after cooling at RT; burning out graphite during sintering leaves homogeneous, dense, and self‐supported films (see Figure for an SEM image).
