The δ 13 C PDB and δ 15 N AIR values of methyl N -methylanthranilate from mandarin essential oils have been measured by capillary gas chromatography, on-line coupled with isotope ratio mass spectrometry (GC/IRMS). Cold-pressed and distilled mandarin peel oils of different origins and petitgrain oils mandarinier as well as reference substances of methyl N -methylanthranilate and methyl anthranilate were investigated. The combination of the δ 13 C and δ 15 N values is useful in the authenticity control of mandarin oils.
