This study examines college students attitudes toward people with AIDS their beliefs about AIDS in relationship to themselves and their sexual behaviors and communication patterns. Results indicate that AIDS was not an issue of personal concern to the majority of students. Data indicate an inconsistency between students accepting attitudes toward people with AIDS and willingness to become involved on a personal basis. Students sexual behavior and communication patterns are discussed and implications for family life educators are presented. (authors)
