The thyroid response to intramuscular bovine and human TSH has been measured in 7 human subjects. Crude bovine TSH and purified human TSH were first assayed in chicks. The human response to each TSH preparation was similar with respect to time course and degree of effect after a single dose, and on the basis of log dose-response.
