Graft copolymers were synthesized by grafting ethyl acrylate onto gelatin. The reaction was carried out in water‐isopropanol medium (1:1 v/v). Reactions take place within 90 min. The resulting product is insoluble in solvents for the respective homopolymers. Presence of vinyl polymer was confirmed by IR spectra.
