The synthesis of racemic tetraalkyltin compounds is described, starting from tributyltin chloride and using alternating Grignard syntheses and bromodemetallations in alcohols. The mass spectra of the obtained tetra‐ and triorganotin derivatives are given as analytical evidence for their obtainment.
