Electronic densities of states for V–Cr, Nb–Mo and Ta–W alloys are calculated in the coherent potential approximation. From these calculated results, temperature dependences of the electrical resistivity R and the paramagnetic spin susceptibility χ at high temperature are estimated. The calculated results are compared with experiments and a qualitative agreement is obtained. It is shown that the concentration variations of the temperature dependences in R / T and χ are strongly dependent on the shape of the density of states near the Fermi level.
