Formation and relaxation of crazes on different polymeric films are determined by permeability measurements in a high pressure test cell. Thermal dependence of the films permeability has been studied and interpreted on the basis of segmental movement of the macromolecules. These permeability measurements also offer a way to determine the glass transition temperature of amorphous films.
