The Rhodes-Wohlfarth ratio µ c /µ p , where µ c is the dipole moment determined from the Curie-Weiss constant and µ p the saturated dipole moment, was examined for LiTlC 4 H 4 O 6 ·H 2 O (LTT), a displacive ferroelectric having a low Curie temperature of 10 K. The value of µ c /µ p of LTT is obtained to be about 18, which is much larger than those of other ferroelectrics examined previously. This result supports Tokunaga's prediction that µ c /µ p of displacive ferroelectrics with low Curie temperature exhibit large deviation from unity.
