The photoionisation cross section for the ground state 2s 2 2p 4 3 P of O I is calculated in the close-coupling approximation employing the frozen-cores model. Results include detailed resonance analysis using accurate interpolation and extrapolation procedures. Similar calculations by Taylor and Burke (1976) and recent experimental data of Kohl et al. (1978) are in good agreement with present results.
