Several exactly soluble models are presented for rotationally inelastic electron scattering from rigid arrays of scatterers. It is shown that in the high energy limit the models can be expanded in the usual Born series. The first order correction for intramolecular multiple scattering obtained from this expansion is shown to possess a characteristic geometrical factor for various potential models which is in agreement with experimental observation.
