The work of the first three papers of this series is here extended to the configurations g9/2n of like particles. Wave functions are obtained for three particles, and energy-level diagrams are plotted as functions of the range of the force for two and three particles. The 7/2 level of seniority three is shown never to be the ground state; this result is in conflict with the experimental findings and suggests a breakdown in the jj-coupling approximation.
