Differences between predictions of Newtonian mechanics and the special theory of relativity are usually of order of (υ/ c ) 2 where υ is the relative velocity between the object under study and the observer and c is the velocity of light. To measure these differences one requires relative velocities of order of c and conventional experimental methods or alternatively fairly low velocities and experimental methods of the highest sensitivity.
