CONTACT dermatitis from brass has not previously been reported. A survey of the literature fails to reveal any proved cases of this condition. Schwartz, Tulipan and Peck1 failed to find any positive reactions to brass in patients they examined with so-called "brass poisoning." This evidence suggests that brass does not cause skin trouble.
