An inexpensive and easy-to-build on-site hologram processing device is described. The plateholder has been successfully tested in a real-time holographic interferometer to give precisely located holograms. Liquid gate immersion yields a brighter and undistorted reconstructed image. Photographic processing is faster due to easier solution handling and elimination of the drying step.
