Concomitantly with an American author, a Munich research group have set a new superconductor record: The hitherto highest critical temperature has been achieved with β-(ET)2AuI2, without pressure, without additional doping, and without tempering. In the compound prepared by electrocrystallization the ET radical cations form stacks with novel spatial arrangement.
