YFeO 3 nanocrystals have been prepared via coprecipitation of yttrium and iron(III) chlorides with aqueous ammonia. The average size, morphology, and magnetic properties of the YFeO 3 nanoparticles are shown to be highly dependent on the preparation procedure.
