Calculations of Coulomb-Born cross-sections are made for the 21 H 31' transitions for Z = 2, for the is H 31' transitions for Z = 2 and Z = , and for the is H 21' transitions at threshold for Z = 2,3, 5, and . These results, together with other available cross-section data and our earlier work on n H fl transitions, are used in obtaining semiempirical electron-impact cross-sections and rates for transitions of the kind nI H n'I' in hydrogenic ions and hydrogen.
