Clinical and laboratory testing of the myotatic reflex has been used extensively in the study of normal and pathological conditions. An on-line computer system was designed and developed to determine the relationships of selected electrical, force, and time characteristics of human quadriceps muscle contraction when two levels of phasic stretch were applied to the patellar tendon. Reliability and correlation coefficients for the studied variables are reported and the implications discussed.
