The application of Pad\'e and inhomogeneous differential approximants to the low-temperature series for the surface tension {Σ}(T ) of the simple cubic Ising model provides accurate values for temperatures T{}TR, where TR is the roughening temperature. The roughening transition is marked by significant structure in the variation of {Σ}(T ) above TR. Approximants with surface-tension amplitudes, A_Σ{a}²$/${k}BTc, between 1.4 and 2.0 agree well with Monte Carlo data for TTc.
