The Raman spectrum of cedrene has been studied. The frequencies of Δv 733,780,915 and 965 cm.−1 are established to be attributable to the valency frequencies of the linkage, (Remark: Graphics omitted.) in the molecule of cedrene. The most ntense line at Δv 1666 cm.−1 is assigned to characterize the C=C bond. The occurrence of the Raman line at Δv 1375 cm.−1 seems to give an evidence of the (Remark: Graphics omitted.) linkage in the cedrene molecule, (Remark: Graphics omitted.).
