This study examines the organizational symbolism that is reflected in corporate discourse. Specifically, the researcher discovers and describes the types of symbols and the functions they served over time. The investigation demonstrates how a symbolic analysis can provide a better understanding of, and make a contribution to, existing research on organizational concepts such as organizational change, leadership, and organizational metaphors. In addition, it provides a fruitful research method for analyzing the functions of symbolic discourse and proposes some areas for future research.
