An anomaly in the specific heat cₚ of liquid Ga-Hg near the critical point of phase separation is observed and found to resemble that measured in nonmetallic binary systems. The singular part of cₚ has a temperature dependence cₚ≈[(T-Tc)Tc]^-α=ε^-α, with α=0.3±0.1 in the reduced temperature interval 5×10⁵<ε<2×10^-2.
