Roberts, R. W., Mack, J. and Woodhead, D. (1976). Aust. paediat, J., 12, 31–36. Health survey — disadvantaged schools. A health survey of 10 year olds in 3 ‘disadvantaged’ and 3 ‘non‐disadvantaged’ schools in Western Australia is described. Little difference was found in physical growth and general nutrition between the two groups, but there were highly significant differences in behaviour. There was a trend in impaired physical growth in the most disadvantaged school population compared with the other 5. The findings are discussed.
