The influence of the kinetics of dissolving disperse dyes on the kinetics of dyeing polyester fibres at high temperatures has been investigated. Experimental proof that the rate of dyeing was limited by the rate of dissolution of the disperse dye was obtained. Experimental data for two disperse dyes are presented.
