Can non-invasive methods diagnose endocardial fibroelastosis with predominant involvement of the left atrium?
Non-invasive methods including echocardiography and phonocardiography can be used to diagnose rare cases of endocardial fibroelastosis predominantly involving the left atrium.

May support non-invasive diagnosis of rare left atrial-predominant endocardial fibroelastosis; hypothesis-generating and requires validation.
Endocardial fibroelastosis with predominant involvement of the left atrium is rare but of clinical importance. This study shows how the diagnosis can be made using a combination of non-invasive methods, including phonocardiogram, apexcardiogram, pulse tracings, echocardiogram, and computer analysis of echocardiographic recordings.
