George Bekefi and Alan H Barrett London: MIT Press 1978 pp xvi + 664 price £12.25 (paperback) As the title indicates, the subject matter of this book spans a wide range of subjects, from oscillators and wave motion, through electromagnetism and radiation, to light scattering and optics. At first sight this seems too diverse a set of topics for a coherent treatment, but the authors have nevertheless made a good attempt at unifying them under the cloak of classical electrodynamics.
