The Halogenation of the N,N′-Ethylenebis(5,5,5-trifluoro-4-oxo-2-pentaniminato)nickel(II) Complex and the Reaction Intermediate

Abstract [Ni(tfac2en)] reacted with NXS (N-chloroor N-bromosuccinimide) in an alcoholic solvent to give the halogenated complexes at the γ-carbon atoms. The reaction intermediate was successfully isolated and was characterized by the use of the 1H-NMR, IR, and AB spectra.
