The reactivities of RhCI(PPh3)3, RhCl(PPh3)2, and Rh2Cl2(PPh3)4 toward H2, and the contributions of each of these species to the overall rate of hydrogenation of RhCl(PPh3)3 in solution, have been determined; RhCl(PPh3)2 is at least 104 times as reactive as the other two species.
