Thirteen species in the Coccoidea were tested as vectors of seventeen cacao viruses or virus strains; in addition to the vectors previously recorded, the following species transmitted some of the viruses: Paraputo ritchiei Laing, Phenacocctis sp. H 6418 (? sp.nov.) Pseudococcusbukobensis Laing, Ps. brevipes (Ckll.), Pseudococcus sp. near celt is Strickland, Pseudococcus sp. near gahani Green, Ps. longispinus T.‐T. and Pseudo‐coccus sp. near masakensis James. The viruses transmitted by Ps. longispinus were not usually transmitted by Ferrisia virgata (Ckll.), but there was no other virus‐vector specificity.
