The Mach reflection wave configurations and the flowfields associated with two-dimensional supersonic free jets of overexpanded nozzles are analysed. Based on the two- and the three-shock theories along with the classical gasdynamics theory, an analytical model for calculating the height of Mach stem and the cell size of the jet are proposed
