The anthracenedifuran precursor 7 was obtained in a short sequence from its lower homologue 1. On thermal treatment, 7 generates the highly Diels‐Alder (DA)‐active anthracenodifuran “8”. Its bisdiene character is proved by trapping with diquinone 9, which gives the [9]cyclacene derivative 10 and oligomeric material.
