Effects of Nicardipine and Diltiazem on Catecholamine Secretion and Renin- Angiotensin-Aldosterone System During Sevoflurane Anesthesia Nicardipine and diltiazem might have different action on hemodynamics and hormonal response during general anesthesia. However, there is no study to compare the effects of these two agents in sevoflurane anesthesia. The present study was performed to investigate the effects on hemodynamics, concentrations of catecholamine and renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system between nicardipine and diltiazem in sevoflurane anesthesia.
