Porous sorbents for gas chromatography obtained by the copolymerization of two crosslinking agents (1,4‐di(methacryloyloxymethyl)naphthalene and divinylbenzene) in the presence of a two‐component diluent were studied. In order to establish the influence of synthesis conditions on their internal structure, surface areas, pore size distributions, pore volumes as well as polarity of packings were investigated. The influence of 1,4‐di(methacryloyloxymethyl)naphthalene concentration on the surface area was determined for the polymer obtained in the presence of a constant volume ratio of diluents to monomers. The influence of volume ratio of diluents to monomers on pore volume was studied for three series of polymers containing mole fractions of the polar monomer for 0.2, 0.5, and 0.8.
