Water-distilled essential oil from fresh aerial parts of Wiedemannia orientalis, a Turkish endemic species, was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Thirty-one compounds were identified with germacrene D (38.94%), geijerene (14.60%) and pregeijerene (12.90%) as the major constituents.
