Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) satellite data were used to map impervious cover in a watershed near Fort Worth, Texas. An 85.1% classification accuracy was obtained using a supervised maximum likelihood classification routine. This technique can be useful in areawide assessments of rainfall-runoff events when detailed ground survey information is not available.
