The behaviour of the complex dielectric constant ε* of multi-domain TGS crystals is investigated in the 20 to 100 kHz range. Two different dielectric relaxation phenomena appear in this frequency range: In a low ac field, the relaxation can be ascribed to a Maxwell-Wagner effect in domain walls, the width of which is estimated to 3000 Å at room temperature. In higher fields, a partial polarization reversal, occurring on the domain walls, accounts for the relaxation.
