A Study on the Cooperative Library Service Network for the Disabled Persons in Korea

국내에는 약 200만명을 상회하는 다양한 유형의 장애인이 있다. 그들은 비장애인과 마찬가지로 평생학습, 사회활동, 여가향유, 사회참여를 목적으로 도서관 지식정보에 대한 접근을 필요로 한다. 이에 주목한 본 연구는 장애인을 위한 도서관서비스 협력망의 구축 및 운영방안을 제안하였다. 그리고 도서관의 장애인서비스 협력망을 가동하기 위한 후속조치도 언급하였다. There are more than 2 million blind and partially disabled people in Korea. They need access to books and information for all the same reasons as non-disabled persons: for lifelong learning, for social activity, for leisure, and to play a full part in society. In considering these realities, this paper has suggested the various strategies and plans to build and operate a cooperative library service network for the disabled persons. In addition, author commented on the subsequent actions for implementing the cooperative service model.
