Conduction electron spin resonance has been observed in the lithiummagnesium alloy system. The linewidth varies from ∼½ oe for pure lithium to ∼160 oe for an alloy containing 10 atomic % magnesium. It is suggested that such a broadening is consistent with the theory developed by Elliott, although more experiments, particularly on liquid alloys, are needed for a fuller understanding of the spin relaxation processes.
