A 3D porous coordination polymer was synthesized by three solvent-thermal methods. The sensing and titration experiments show that it can detect Fe( iii ) cation and Cr( vi ) anions (Cr 2 O 7 2− or CrO 4 2− ). Besides, it can selectively adsorb the malachite green oxalate dye.
