In an earlier paper it was assumed that the individual grains of a `square loop' ferrite have rectangular hysteresis loops. This hypothesis has now been given a theoretical justification, based on a model due to Néel. It was also possible to estimate the number of times (14) that the energy of a typical domain wall passed through a minimum in the course of a magnetization reversal.
