The primary objective of this scholarly work is to investigate the influence of porosities on the mechanical behavior (i.e., free vibration) and structural integrity of porous FG plates. This study relies on high-order shear deformation theories to analyze mechanical behavior thoroughly. It also introduces a new theory in this context, known as the Quasi-3D trigonometric high-order shear deformation theory, which does not require the inclusion of a shear factor while considering the stretching effect. The mechanical characteristics within porous FG plates are continuously altered across their thickness using a modified power law function (P-FGM). This adjustment takes into account the impact of porosities on the mechanical properties and behavior of the plates. Three distinct models for porosity distribution are examined, with one featuring an even distribution and the others displaying an uneven distribution. The Navier technique is implemented to resolve equations of motion and determine natural frequencies. An extensive parametric analysis is offered to demonstrate the effect of various parameters on mechanical behavior and structural integrity, specifically natural frequencies.
