The influence of vibrationally excited molecules on electron transport in a weakly ionized gas in an electric field is investigated. It is shown that, due to the dependence of the electron energy distribution function on the molecular temperature T v , a new type of anisotropic electron transport, proportional to Del T v and delta T v / delta t, appears. By approximately solving the electron energy balance equation the nature of this transport is described. The electron energy distribution function and transport coefficients (new transport coefficients, longitudinal diffusion coefficient, etc.) are calculated in vibrationally excited N 2 , CO, and CO 2 .
