Conversion of oximes 1 into optically active amines 4 (ee < 19%) is achieved by hydrosilylation using 2 in the presence of chiral Rh catalysts. The E-configuration of 1 is retained in the reaction to afford 3; however, during the reaction the latter compound partly isomeizes to (Z)-3.
