We present a simple technique for electromagnetic (EM) simulation–based design optimization of antenna structures. Our approach utilizes a low‐fidelity model of the antenna under design, implemented through coarse‐discretization EM simulations. The low‐fidelity model is aligned with the original, high‐fidelity one using multipoint response correction. As opposed to the simple additive response correction (referred to as output space mapping), the multipoint version introduced here exploits all high‐fidelity model data accumulated during the optimization process, which improves the generalization capability of the corrected model. As a result, an optimized antenna design can be obtained at a lower computational cost, which is demonstrated using two examples: a dielectric resonator antenna and an ultra‐wideband stripline monopole antenna.
