Diastereoselective Synthesis of β‐Methyl‐homoallylic Alcohols bylk‐Addition of (2‐Butenyl)triphenoxytitanium to Aldehydes (2‐Butenyl)triphenoxytitanium, prepared insitufrom (2‐butenyl)magnesium halogenide and chlorotriphenoxytitanium in tetrahydrofuran solution, adds to aldehydes withlike(Re,Re/Si,SiRe*,Re*) relative topicity in diastereoselectivities of 80–99%.
