Fabrication of Y-Ba-Cu-O mixed phase superconductors

Abstract

Mixed phase superconductors have been fabricated from Y2O3, BaCO3, and Cu2O which show an onset temperature of 96 K. The presence of superconductivity is found to depend on cooling rate, the presence of oxygen, and temperature.
