The mass spectra of some esters of 1,2,4‐triazine‐3‐carboxylic acid and of 1,2,4‐triazine itself are reported, and their fragmentation patterns are analyzed. The syntheses of the methyl and of the t‐butyl esters of 1,2,4‐triazine‐3‐carboxylate are described.
