Six commercial carbon-glass resistance thermometers have been subjected to thermal cycling between 15 and 300 K and tested for stability at 15, 20, and 27 K. The results reveal no common mode of behaviour but show the stability of these thermometers is an order of magnitude inferior to that of germanium resistance thermometers at these temperatures.
